Introducing the Haessler K118 upright piano, c.2008

The Haessler K118, still a current model, is designed and hand-built by Blüthner at their Leipzig factory, using many shared materials and practices with their world-famous Blüthner branded instruments.

The K118 benefits from a wonderfully responsive and quick Renner action, with Abel hammers to product the classic Blüthner 'Golden Tone'.

In superb order throughout, the satin mahogany veneer has sustained no fading, while the brass fittings shine beautifully. Measuring 118cm tall, the piano is a perfect size for the home and is a great option for the more discerning pianist.

Handcrafted in Leipzig

Haessler pianos are built by hand using traditional techniques, alongside Blüthner and Rönisch pianos in a modern facility in Großpösna, a suburb of Leipzig. Specially selected materials including Alpine spruce from a specific altitude are used for the soundboards, ensuring a particular tightness of grain and consequently enhanced resonant properties.

Specially selected hammers

Refined lambs wool hammers made by the well respected maker Abel are specially selected for Haessler upright pianos, which have a layer of under-felt to enhance the warmth of tone and also ensure the hammers stand up to a lifetime of playing.

Beautifully set up and built to last

Living up to Julius Blüthner's dream of building the world's best pianos, Haessler pianos are beautifully built and intended to be passed down through the generations. Each piano, new or second hand, is prepared by our house technicians prior to sale and ready for a lifetime of service.
