Introducing the Reconditioned Yamaha U1A Upright Piano c.1984

Yamaha 'U' series pianos have long been the preferred choice of professionals and discerning amateur pianists. Reconditioned by Yamaha's own technical services division and Yamaha Approved, a Certified reconditioned Yamaha U1A is a very affordable way of owning one of these beautifully built instruments. Always evolving and improving the design and refinement of their pianos, the U1A is a step up in quality from the 1970's U1H models. Mostly sourced in Europe, these pianos are shipped abck to Yamaha in Japan to be comprehensively refurbished.

The reconditioning works are superbly done and while a sympathetic restoration means that while the worn out components are replaced, as much of the original piano as possible is retained. Each piano is supplied with a certificate of authenticity, along with a five year Yamaha-backed warranty for your peace of mind. Worth comparing against the new Yamaha b3, a reconditioned U1 makes very good financial sense!

Although the U1 upright piano is the smaller of the 'U' series pianos, they remain wonderfully resonant and are an ideal size for the home or school practice room.

Top quality reconditioning

Yamaha Certified U Series upright pianos are reconditioned by the manufacturer, with each instrument has been sympathetically restored and the component parts either being refurbished or replaced. Sympathetic reconditioning ensures that while all the worn components are renewed, as much of the original piano as possible is retained, thus preserving the instrument's true Yamaha character.

Superior quality control and bespoke setup

Each piano is supplied with a certificate of authenticity, with its own unique identification number, to show that it is a Yamaha Approved reconditioned instrument. It comes with the same five year warranty as a brand new Yamaha piano.

Inherent Yamaha quality

Yamaha soundboards, frames and actions are second to none and this quality has not only helped cement Yamaha's reputation as manufacturers of fine acoustic pianos, but makes them ideal subjects for reconditioning.

Elegant, timeless piano design and styling

The appearance of the Yamaha U1 hasn't changed an awful lot since its inception in the early 1950's. Each piano looks stunning in a polished ebony, piano black finish with brass fittings.
