Introducing the Roland FP-30 digital piano:

A superb value new model in the lineup from Roland, replacing the compact F-20 model. With an 88 note graded hammer action keyboard, the PHA-4 with ivory feel the FP-30 offers a better touch than anything else in its class and it also shares the piano sound engine with the top end HP and LX models. A 1 track record facility and Bluetooth connectivity as well as USB to device and host makes the FP-30 a versatile instrument that is a great choice of portable instrument for the home or school use. The one downside is the lack of audio outputs, only the headphone jack serves as an audio output so if this is a consideration it may be worth looking at the next model up in the range, the ever popular FP-50. Packed with features, this portable piano from Roland is ideal for realistic practice and expressive performances.

The sound and feel of an acoustic grand

Roland’s advanced piano technologies offer superior tone and touch that will satisfy the most experienced pianists. The SuperNATURAL Piano Modeling engine provides the dynamic, expressive sound of an acoustic grand, with rich, complex overtone changes that naturally follow your touch - perfectly replicating a grand piano sound. Why should a portable piano mean you have to compromise on sound quality and keyboard feel? This keyboard offers a response and feel of an acoustic grand, so you can have that authentic feel with your portable piano.

Cover any music style with a wide selection of sounds

Even if you usually play with classic acoustic piano sounds, there are often situations when you need additional sounds to play various songs and styles. The FP Series has you covered with a selection of pro-grade electric pianos, strings, organs, and others, giving you a multitude of sound options for nearly any musical genre. The FP-30 includes a total of 35 tones including six Piano, seven ePiano and 22 others.

Gig anywhere with powerful onboard speakers

Due to size limitations, the onboard speaker systems in typical portable pianos only produce sufficient sound for playing and practicing at home. But thanks to Roland’s sophisticated design approach, the FP Series has a big, powerful sound that projects beautifully in small performance venues, eliminating the need to bring an external sound system. The FP-30 also reproduces a beautiful, no-compromise piano sound through its 12cm stereo speakers (12 cm) that exceed the typical speaker quality in its class. When used in an intimate setting, the tone quality and power of the onboard speakers leaves out the need for an external amplifier - perfect for easy transport from venue to venue.

Spark your musical creativity

Thanks to its modern digital engine, the FP-30 goes far beyond any acoustic piano, bringing more fun and productivity to your playing sessions. Non-piano sounds like organs, strings, and voices let you enjoy all types of music styles, and a variety of drum patterns are on board to back you up. It’s even possible to layer two sounds together or play different sounds with each hand. Bluetooth wireless is built in for working with MIDI music apps on mobile devices, while USB support enables you to play along with favourite tunes and save SMF songs captured with the FP-30’s recorder. Twin Piano mode is perfect for private lessons, allowing student and teacher to play side by side in the same octave ranges. And by plugging in headphones, you can get lost in musical journeys day or night without disturbing housemates or neighbours.

Looks great in the home

The sleek and portable FP series pianos can also become modern upright home pianos, just by adding the KCS-70 stand and KDP-70 pedal. Each stand is stable and durable despite its simple, modern design, while the pedal option offers three-pedal configuration providing continuous response for traditional playing techniques. Both options are a great way to complete your setup, delivering authentic piano performance.
