Introducing the Kawai K7 upright piano c.2009
A direct ancestor of today's Kawai K700 upright piano, the K7 was never available new here in the UK but shares its frame and much of its specification with the popular model K5. Where the K7 differs is in its console style cabinetry, designed to be a step closer to the appearance and playing style of a grand piano and aimed squarely at the teacher or professional musician. Its soft-closing fallboard style and music desk with angle adjustment places the music at the same height as that of a grand piano, with an opening sound chamber when the desk is tilted towards the player for enhanced projection, all while retaining the space saving characteristics of an upright.
A top quality instrument throughout, the K7 benefits from Kawai's proprietary Millennium III action with Neotex key surfaces for enhanced grip, duplex scaling for improved resonance and a configuration of 5 backposts for optimum power and stability.
Our pre-owned Kawai K-7 has been privately owned from new and has recently arrived with us in part exchange. The instrument has been comprehensively serviced by our technicians and is now on display, ready for selection alongside other new and second hand Kawai K Series upright pianos.
