Introducing the Yamaha C1 grand piano c.1999
Yamaha's C Series are arguably the world's most popular grand pianos, a range of robust and reliable workhorses which have become the instrument of choice for performers, schools, venues, churches and homes the world over.
The 5'3" (161cm) long Yamaha C1 is the smallest Conservatoire series model yet benefits from the same design features as the larger C2 and C3, with no compromise on material quality. Only the length of strings and the size of soundboard differs, making the C1 an ideal choice if space is at a premium.
This example of the well regarded C1L was purchased new from Chamberlain Music in 1999 by its sole private owner, and having been comparatively little used it remains in wonderful condition throughout.
The piano is finished in a high gloss polished black lacquer with brass fittings, also benefiting from a lockable lid and soft-close fallboard, while the key surfaces are covered in the same acrylic and phenolic resin as today's new Yamaha GC1M.
Worth comparing against the new Yamaha GC1M and Kawai GL-30, our second hand Yamaha C1 grand piano is prepared, on display, ready for selection.
