Introducing the Yamaha G1 grand piano c.1979
Our Yamaha G1 baby grand piano was manufactured at Yamaha's Hamamatsu factory in 1979, and is an ancestor of today's Yamaha C1X grand piano. Measuring 5'2" long, or 157cm, it is slightly smaller than its modern equivalent, and is an ideal size for the smaller living room, school performance space or classroom.
The piano has been privately owned and aside from some sun fading to the bass side of the cabinet, remains in very tidy overall condition, having been little used in recent years and freshly serviced by our house technicians.
With the inherent build quality that Yamaha pianos are renowned for, the Yamaha G1 is an excellent value choice for the advancing musician, and is supplied with a matching duet stool.
The second hand Yamaha G1 baby grand is worth considering the touch and response of a grand piano is required yet the budget won't quite stretch to a new Kawai GL-10 or Yamaha GB1K, and is now on display, ready for selection.
