Introducing the Kemble Vermont upright piano c.2002
The British made, Conran designed Kemble Vermont was introduced as a limited edition model, produced in very small numbers.
Traditionally styled with a cherry satin veneer finish and chrome fittings, the piano remains in wonderful overall condition and has clearly seen little use.
The piano measures 120cm tall giving it excellent speaking string length and soundboard area, making it an ideal choice of family upright piano for players of all ages and abilities.
Kemble pianos were at this time produced in the UK, under the stewardship of Yamaha, with lots of shared components including the action and frames. Veneers were produced by a British veneering company, while the solid spruce Strunz soundboards came from a town on the German-Austrian border.
A rare second hand purchase, the Kemble Vermont upright piano is a superb combination of British styling, Japanese precision engineering and Alpine tonewoods, and is on display in our Haslemere showroom, ready to try.
