About our Fazioli F228 semi-concert grand piano
Chamberlain Pianos is delighted to offer a fabulous Fazioli F228 semi-concert grand piano for concert and event hire in Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.
Measuring 7’4” long, the Italian-made Fazioli F228 is equivalent in size to the Steinway Model C, described by its manufacturer as the perfect choice for chamber concerts.
From their factory in Sacile, North-Eastern Italy, some 60km from Venice, Fazioli produces around 150 pianos each year, each personally checked and signed off by Paolo Fazioli himself. Keen innovators yet staying true to the artisan craftsmanship their region is famed for, Fazioli combines traditional handcrafting with the finest possible materials, striving for uncompromised quality in every instrument. Its Ciresa soundboard hails from the same region as the wood used in Stradivarius’ violins, while its action components are produced by Renner and Abel in Germany. With gold plated fittings, a beautifully veneered poplar inner rim and intricate banding around the pedals, a Fazioli grand piano is a wonderful centrepiece sure to impress at any concert or event.
This example of the F228 was manufactured in c.2000 and has been expertly maintained, recently benefiting from new hammer coverings and a comprehensive service by the UK’s leading Fazioli technician, Bruno Torrens.

Can I try the piano before I hire it?
Carefully stored between concerts at our Haslemere workshops and storage facility, the piano is expertly maintained by our concert technician to ensure the finest possible performance. Furthermore, the piano is always kept on its legs and in tune, and is thus always available for you to try if you so desire.
How is the piano delivered?
The piano is always carefully delivered by our piano transportation specialists, using all the appropriate equipment including a piano trolley, shoe and cover, and will be set up and positioned on the stage or performance area by the delivery crew. To keep the price as low as possible, our rental fee includes delivery and collection at ground floor addresses within a 30 mile radius of our Haslemere showroom, during business hours Monday-Friday.

Single performance concert piano rental:
£1,449 + VAT
Includes:
- Ground floor delivery & collection - weekdays, during normal business hours.
- One tuning prior to the start of the event - post-delivery, during normal business hours.
- Comfortable, Italian made concert piano stool to match the piano and a padded cover
- Insurance
Additional costs:
