Introducing the Yamaha Clavinova CLP700 Series

Quite simply the definitive digital piano range, Yamaha Clavinova has been the industry standard choice of digital piano for nearly 40 years. Now better than ever before, Yamaha has drawn on over 120 years of musical instrument manufacturing expertise to craft a range of premium quality digital pianos that are now a seriously compelling alternative even to an acoustic instrument, for beginners and advanced pianists alike.

CLP Series digital pianos are simple pianos, designed to emulate the sound and feel of a real acoustic piano, yet delivering all the convenient features of a digital instrument, including being able to practice privately with headphones or adjust the volume, select different instrument voices, a metronome and a built-in record facility. Consisting of seven models including five upright style and two digital baby grand pianos, there is a Yamaha Clavinova CLP digital piano for pianists of every ability level, beginner to professional, each model guaranteed to inspire your creativity and provide many hours of playing enjoyment.

Yamaha Clavinova CLP725

The entry level and most compact Clavinova, the CLP725 benefits from the important features of the CLP735 but in a smaller body. Featuring the sound of a Yamaha CFX concert grand along with the authentic feeling GrandTouch-S action, the CLP725 is a worthwhile upgrade from the YDP165 and an excellent choice of starter piano.

Yamaha Clavinova CLP735

Enhanced amplification along with Virtual Resonance Modelling produces a richer and more resonant piano sound, while the instrument has a wider pallet of voices including the Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand and a number of early fortepiano sounds. A larger and grander cabinet further enhances the illusion of playing an acoustic instrument.

Yamaha Clavinova CLP775

Essentially a cut-down version of the top of the range CLP785, the CLP775 has an improved action over the CLP745 with longer keys for a more controlled and balanced touch, with individually weighted keys. A larger speaker box underneath with soundboard speakers provides a powerful, resonant tone while the user interface is a touch panel which fades to black when not in use, to trick the mind that this is a real, acoustic instrument. The pedal mechanism is improved too, providing more resistance the more the damper pedal is depressed, mimicking the dampers lifting off the strings in an acoustic instrument.

  • 88 note GrandTouch keyboard with wooden naturals, ivory/ebony feel & escapement
  • Linear weighted keys
  • GP Response damper pedal mechanism
