The Audio-Technica ATH-M40x professional monitoring headphones are designed for accurate audio reproduction in recording, mixing and other critical listening applications. Specially tuned 40 mm dynamic drivers combine rare earth magnets with copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils to produce a wide frequency response from 15 Hz to 24 kHz. The result is controlled bass, clear midrange and detailed high frequencies, offering a balanced listening experience for studio monitoring.

The ATH-M40x has been built with everyday studio use in mind. Its circumaural earcups fit comfortably around the ears to improve isolation, while each earcup rotates through 90 degrees for convenient one-ear monitoring. A foldable design, detachable cable system and supplied carrying pouch make the headphones easy to transport and store between sessions.
