Introducing the Casio PX-S5000BKC5 Privia Digital piano

The PX-S5000BKC5 is a smart hybrid hammer action keyboard that permits soft to forceful touch thanks to the advanced physical keyboard mechanisms allowing for highly expressive playing with the help of the digital control technology.

Including a headphone mode to optimize the sound for headphone users, this keyboard is ideal for anyone who wants to experiment with their playing or start recording music.

Digital control technology

With three levels of key off response, and simulator controls you can adjust how quickly the sound fades after a key is released so a slightly more legato or staccato feel can be selected to suit your playing style.

The included metronome functions allow the tempo to be set both numerically using BPM or using tempo markings. 88-Key Digital Scaling technology means the volume is individually controlled for each key in response to how hard it is played, with the touch weight varying along the length of the keyboard and the ten-step hammer response setting allows the timing of the sound to be adjusted relative to how the key is struck and which register is being played. Therefore, the PX-S5000BKC5 is very similar to a grand piano.

Advanced sound system

The speakers of this keyboard are made with a support structure constructed from rigid wood and resin composite material. To assist this, the outer speakers are equipped with side enhancing diffusers which produce and even wider sound despite the small and compact size of the piano.

This unique piano tone subtly changes over time with every nuance of the player’s style, from soft touches to powerful expressive playing. The PX-S5000BKC5 produces a wide range of highly defined and playable tones thanks to the multi-dimensional morphing AiR sound source.

Advanced physical keyboard mechanism

The key mechanism of the PX-S5000BKC5 uses the weight of the hammers so that the keys feel light when played softly but still responsive when played forcefully. The volume is individually controlled for each key in response to how hard it is played thanks to the 88-Key Digital Scaling technology which helps to provide the same feel as a grand piano.

Contemporary design

The PX-S5000BKC5 has been designed to look professional from any angle. The simple yet effective use of the glossy black and wood grain finish has been used because it looks great in any interior. The white keys are made from high quality spruce wood resin composite material with a finish that recreated the natural grain of ivory, while the black keys feature a new matte finish that looks and feels like ebony wood. With a front-to-back depth of just 242mm this piano is great for those who want to save space in their homes. The lightweight and small design means that this piano can be set up and tidied away without difficulty.

Wireless MIDI and audio adaptor

Connect the included Wireless MIDI & Audio Adaptor (WU-BT10) and you can listen to music from your smartphone or tablet through the PX-S5000BKC5 speaker system. Compatible with Bluetooth® Low Energy MIDI devices allow you to use the PX-S5000BKC5 as a wireless MIDI controller keyboard, for example.

Multiple functions to experiment with

This piano has an exceptional number of functions to experiment with. A layer function for playing two different tones across the keyboard, a split function to split the keyboard between upper and lower zones with different tones assigned to each, and a duet function which splits the keyboard into two zones of the same register.

Great for recording music

The MIDI recorder allows you to capture your playing as MIDI song data, which can be played back from the Digital Piano. This is perfect for piano lessons and practice. Data can also be saved to a USB flash drive as a standard MIDI file (SMF) for later playback or for use with a DAW or other electronic musical instruments. When recording your music, you can record your playing as a standard WAV audio file on a commercially available USB flash drive for playback on a computer or other device.

Pedal included

The included damper pedal (SP-3) helps you to create the best performances possible. It should be connected to the expression/assignable jack.

Included accessories

This keyboard comes with a Wireless MIDI and audio adapter, a pedal, music stand made from clear acrylic and an AC adaptor.
