Building on the success and popularity of the previous model KC350, the new KC400 offers 30 extra watts of power while remaining neat, compact and easily transportable. It incorporates a newly designed 12 inch custom woofer cone in order to produce a richer sound quality, and the power section has been rethought to improve stability and enhance the bass reproduction.
Offering a powerful, punchy sound and full-range audio reproduction, the KC-400 is a compact amp with 150 watts of power. The cabinet features Roland's patented twin bass-reflex design, providing extended low-frequency response without distortion.With its redesigned power section, the KC-400 delivers great bass performance for amplifying 88-note stage pianos, organs, and synthesizers, plus rhythm machines and other electronic instruments. On top of all this, this efficient power section is also reduced weight, making the KC-400 easy to carry from gig to gig.
With the KC-400's four line input channels, it's easy to connect keyboards, percussion pads, drum machines and more. There is also a dedicated auxiliary input where you can plug in a smartphone or music player for backing tracks. The line and aux inputs support stereo connections, meaning you can send stereo sound to a PA or recording device and amplify in stereo when connecting to a second KC-400 through Stereo Link. Channel 1 also includes an XLR input, allowing you to plug in a vocal mic for even more versatility. Plus, with the convenient Output Select function on Channel 4, there's a lot of flexibility for monitoring click and guide tracks while performing.
With its easy-access connectivity, the KC-400 integrates onto any playing environment. Stereo line outputs are provided on 1/4-inch jacks for interfacing with PA systems, stage monitors, and recording devices. There's also a Sub Out jack for connecting to a powered subwoofer, with level conveniently tied to the amp's master volume for one-touch control. The KC-400 has a headphones jack as well, which is perfect for silent practice sessions and discrete stage monitoring.
With the KC-400's Stereo Link function, it's simple to expand your inputs or monitor in stereo. When you connect to the two stereo link jacks on another KC-400, the number of available inputs double. Plus, the left and right signals of connected stereo instruments are split across the two amps, meaning it is possible to bring a studio-like monitoring experience to you stage performance setup.
