This latest generation of the Nord Piano series enhances flexibility with two piano and two sample synth layers, allowing for advanced splits and layering. Performance and design

The Nord Piano 6 features an intuitive new panel layout with dedicated LED faders, providing direct access to piano and synth layers. The dual-layer architecture allows users to blend or split piano and synth sounds across the keyboard, with nine split points and optional crossfade. Six live program slots enable quick sound changes, making it an ideal choice for live performances.

Piano section

The piano section includes an extensive collection of grand, upright, and electric pianos from the exclusive Nord Piano Library. Advanced features like dynamic compression, unison, and creative timbre options enhance expressiveness, while the Nord Triple Pedal 2 enables dynamic pedal noise and advanced string resonance for a highly realistic piano experience.

Sample synth section

With two independent layers, the sample synth section offers a broad selection of new and updated sounds, including strings, wind, brass, bass, and guitars. Enhanced sample features like unison, Tru-Vibrato, and round robin allow for more natural and dynamic performances. The synth engine includes intuitive controls for attack, decay, sustain, release, and dynamic velocity response.

Effect section

Each layer has its own dedicated effect section, providing a wide range of modulation, amp, delay, and reverb effects. New additions include spring reverb, a spin effect, and a delay section with filter, flam, and ping-pong options. A dedicated compressor effect and amp section with tone variations allow further sound shaping.
