At 156cm in length—the same size as the Steinway Model S—the GP156 is designed by Steinway & Sons in the United States and expertly crafted by Kawai in Japan. This unique partnership combines Steinway’s renowned design philosophy with Kawai’s world-class manufacturing precision, creating a compelling alternative to comparable new models such as the Yamaha C1X and Kawai GX-1.

The GP156 incorporates numerous patented Steinway design innovations, alongside carefully engineered features that enhance tonal richness and performance. These include duplex scaling, a rock maple inner rim, and a finely grained solid Sitka spruce soundboard.
