Yamaha YDP-146 Arius digital piano

The Yamaha YDP-146 combines the traditional appearance and feel of an upright piano with the convenience and versatility of modern digital technology. Designed for beginners, returning players and everyday home practice, it features an 88-key weighted keyboard, the sound of Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand piano and a range of built-in learning and connectivity features to support musical development.

Its elegant cabinet design blends naturally into the home while offering the realistic touch, expressive sound and practical features that make practising and playing enjoyable for musicians of all levels.

Natural piano feel

The 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard recreates the natural weight difference found on an acoustic piano, with heavier keys in the lower register and a lighter touch in the upper octaves. This familiar response helps players develop proper technique while providing a comfortable playing experience.

Matt black keytops add a tactile feel during longer practice sessions, while the three-pedal unit includes damper, soft and sostenuto pedals. The damper pedal also supports half-pedalling for greater expressive control.

Sampled from Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand

The YDP-146 features a piano voice sampled from Yamaha's renowned CFX concert grand piano, delivering a rich and expressive sound with clear highs and a powerful bass response. Whether practising scales or performing more demanding repertoire, it provides an authentic piano tone across the full keyboard.

Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) further enhances the playing experience by recreating the complex resonance produced when the strings and body of an acoustic piano vibrate together.

Designed for everyday practice

An 8W × 2 stereo amplification system works alongside two 12cm speakers with diffuser grilles to produce a balanced and immersive sound throughout the room. Yamaha's design helps maintain clarity across the keyboard whether you are sitting at the instrument or listening from further away.

For quieter practice, headphones can be connected, allowing you to enjoy the same playing experience without disturbing others in the home.

Built-in features for learning and creativity

You can view sheet music for all 353 preset songs, use practice tools designed to help you learn more efficiently and record your performances to save them directly to your device. It is a practical companion for both beginners and experienced players looking to get more from their piano.
