Introducing the Yamaha DC7X Disklavier ENSPIRE Grand Piano

At 7'6 in length the Yamaha C7X is very much a semi-concert instrument and only one size below a full concert grand. Consequently it offers a wonderful resonant tone and has found a home in many recording studios, concert venues, school auditoriums, and even the domestic homes where space will allow. This latest incarnation of the C7 benefits from bespoke hammers and stringing wire, a European spruce soundboard and a unique configuration of backposts to improve resonance, among many other refinements. The result is a piano with a wonderfully balanced action and real depth and power in its tone, and therefore an extremely capable concert instrument.

Now in its eighth generation and known as ‘ENSPIRE’, the record-and-playback system of Disklavier is better than ever before, while additional functionality makes it a useful tool for composing, recording and teaching. Featuring the upgraded Disklavier PRO system, the DC7X allows for supremely accurate recording and playback, even at the quietest pianissimo.

Disklavier ENSPIRE not only plays each note at the right time, it also ingeniously controls speed and timing of the note’s release to ensure every nuance of the pianists original performance is accurately delivered. A huge selection of content

There are 500 built-in songs, from solo piano tracks to ones with MIDI backing tracks and even real audio tracks. Alternatively, you can select Music Shop on the app to access a library of thousands more titles from contemporary recording artists and jazz to classical masterpieces. A subscription streaming service, ‘Disklavier Radio’, enables the piano to continuously stream music from Yamaha’s database, including real artist recordings.

Wireless control and discreet control panels

A discreet, slimline control panel is hidden underneath the keyboard, while the instrument’s main control interface completely wireless via an app for your iOS or Android device. The piano becomes a part of your wireless network via WPS, eliminating the need for cables and chunky control boxes bolted to the piano.

Integrated SH Silent Piano

Built into the Disklavier ENSPIRE is an SH Silent system, so that the piano can be played privately via headphones. Alternatively, the speakers built in underneath the grand piano can be used to play the piano at a lower volume, making it ideal for dinner parties or playing at unsociable hours.

Make the piano a part of your home HiFi system

The Disklavier ENSPIRE can be connected to Yamaha’s MusicCast system enabling multi room listening. The piano can be playing acoustically in your living room, but the digital sound of the SH Silent system can be heard in other rooms around the house, all transmitted wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
