Factory reconditioned just last year, this example of the Yamaha YUX upright piano was manufactured in c.1980 but has had all perishable components replaced, along with new keytops and a high gloss polished ebony finish. A great value ancestor of today's Yamaha YUS5 upright piano, the YUX is a more refined instrument than the U3M of its time, with upgraded cabinetry, mahogany hammers, hand finishing and a star-shaped backframe for enhanced stability and projection.
The result of this is a richer and more powerful tone than the standard U3 model, making this an excellent choice for the advanced pianist or school performance space. Practical advantages of the YUX includes its factory fitted castors and lockable fallboard, while also benefiting from a full length 88 note keyboard and a practice pedal to enable quieter practice.
It measures 131cm tall, resulting in similar speaking string length and soundboard area to a small grand piano, while taking up less space. Elegant, traditional style cabinetry with brass fittings and high gloss black finish makes it an attractive statement piece, equally well suited to the home, classroom or stage.
A part exchange and highly recommended, the piano has just been prepared by our technical team and is ready for a lifetime of dependable service.
