Introducing the Yamaha P121NT Upright Piano c.2003
A rare find in the stunning open-pore, dark walnut satin veneer finish (OPDAW), our pre-owned Yamaha P121NT was manufactured here in the UK in c.2003. Designed to suit the British and European pianist, who typically prefers a warmer and more mellow tone than Yamaha instruments are known for, the P121 features a soundboard made from premium grade European spruce, along with a soft-styled cabinet and a bespoke voicing. With just one previous owner and in wonderful condition throughout, the piano is a perfect choice for the intermediate and advanced pianist, while the beginner will also find the piano a delight to play.
The traditionally styled P121 stands at 121cm tall, the same size as the popular, Japanese-built Yamaha U1 upright piano, with useful features including a long music desk for single sheets and scores, along with a celeste pedal for quiet practice at unsociable hours.
Offering a very different playing experience to the U1, with a distinctively European tonal quality, the British-built P121NT is worth considering alongside the b3, Kawai K-300 and reconditioned U series uprights. Dominic Barnett – Chamberlain Pianos
