Introducing the Yamaha b3 Upright Piano c.2023

Sitting neatly at the top of the Yamaha b Series, the 121cm tall Yamaha b3 upright is assembled in Yamaha's Indonesian factory and shares many of its critical components with the Japanese-built, ever popular Yamaha U1. The design is based on that of the U1, including a solid spruce soundboard and 5 back-posts but with an emphasis on balancing performance and value for money.

With longer strings and a larger soundboard area than the smaller b2 the b3 delivers a more refined tonal quality, while longer keys allow for a more responsive touch.

Also a handsome instrument in a traditional style cabinet with high gloss ebony finish and brass fittings, the b3 is a perfect choice for the progressing pianist.

This example of the superb Yamaha b3 was purchased new from Chamberlain Pianos in March 2024 and remains in tip top condition, also fitted with an aftermarket soft-close for the fallboard to prevent trapped fingers.
